Blue Moon Traveling Observatory

established March, 2003 AD

"To teach to learn to share the sky!"

We are a  teaching, hobby, and research astronomical and nature observatory.

A Blue Moon is a rare event and our traveling observatory presents a rare and wonderful opportunity for you or your group to witness something very special, the objects and events in the skies of North America.

Our / Your observatory is housed in a 12 X 6 foot Cargo Sport utility trailer and is transported by a "state of the art" GPS guided Nissan truck.

We can go just about anyplace. No matter where we go there is always something great to see in the sky, from the craters of the moon and the rings of Saturn and the multiple moons of giant Jupiter, all the way out to the vast star fields of our Milky Way galaxy and beyond to galaxies "far away and long ago".

You no longer need to wonder what the "scientist" are looking at in the big scopes. You will always have the chance to view the stars in the largest telescopes we can make available.

Our home base is tucked in a quite dark valley just off  US Hwy. 270/59 in Page, Oklahoma. Our home and the home of our main stationary observatory is available for private groups and occasional public stargazing events.

We provide rare, warm, friendly, fun, educational, and awe inspiring (deep breath) sky-gazing events and programs to all people, groups and organizations, schools, church groups, boy scouts and girl scouts, large and small, young and older. Offering sky-gazing in and out of the city at parks, schools, businesses, churches and more. Blue Moon Observatory brings the universe down to earth.

We like to think if there is a road to any place where you can see up, we can get there and show you the sky!

We have a (very large array) of fine optical, radio and electronic instrumentation at our disposal, for your enjoyment and education.
